Space Punks will continue to develop and grow with its lively and ever-changing game world - during Early Access, in the open beta and beyond. Prosperity Package (€39.99/£34.99/$49.99): The ultimate starter package, only for die-hard scoundrels! Players can now get into the game, and help co-create the destiny of Space Punks thanks to their ongoing Early Access feedback, by purchasing a Founders Pack at the Epic Games Store.Ī Founders Pack guarantees a place in Early Access, and they come in two varieties: Space Punks has blasted its way into Early Access exclusively on Epic Games Store. In addition, there is plenty of loot and equipment to help characters out on their adventures. As is common in action role-playing games, there are complex skill trees that make it possible to develop different types of characters through experience. The gameplay will delight not only hardcore fans of the dungeon crawl / loot shooter genre, but players all over the wide world of games. Space Punks is designed as a living, breathing, and ever-changing game world - a truly living game that is in line with Flying Wild Hog's creative mission of creating action-packed, fast-paced, and wholeheartedly unique titles that take players into unexpected and kidnap exciting new worlds. The players have the opportunity to pave their way to fame, honor and fortune by accepting lucrative assignments on distant planets and taking on all chances of success. I plan to update it to a newer version soon and that update should bring in a bunch of new word senses for many words (or more accurately, lemma).Space Punksoffers crazy action in a unique, unconventional sci-fi world, in which players shoot for fame and fortune and take on lucrative jobs on remote planets despite the unlikely chances of success. Special thanks to the contributors of the open-source code that was used in this project: the UBY project (mentioned above), and express.js.Ĭurrently, this is based on a version of wiktionary which is a few years old. I simply extracted the Wiktionary entries and threw them into this interface! So it took a little more work than expected, but I'm happy I kept at it after the first couple of blunders. The researchers have parsed the whole of Wiktionary and other sources, and compiled everything into a single unified resource. That's when I stumbled across the UBY project - an amazing project which needs more recognition. However, after a day's work wrangling it into a database I realised that there were far too many errors (especially with the part-of-speech tagging) for it to be viable for Word Type.įinally, I went back to Wiktionary - which I already knew about, but had been avoiding because it's not properly structured for parsing. This caused me to investigate the 1913 edition of Websters Dictionary - which is now in the public domain. I initially started with WordNet, but then realised that it was missing many types of words/lemma (determiners, pronouns, abbreviations, and many more). The dictionary is based on the amazing Wiktionary project by wikimedia. And since I already had a lot of the infrastructure in place from the other two sites, I figured it wouldn't be too much more work to get this up and running. Rip space a new one with Founders Packs guaranteeing access to Early Access and a bunch of awesome exclusive items available to pre. I had an idea for a website that simply explains the word types of the words that you search for - just like a dictionary, but focussed on the part of speech of the words. Space Punks, the new free-to-play sci-fi looter-shooter developed by Flying Wild Hog and published by Jagex Partners, to go into Early Access on PC on July 14th exclusively on Epic Games Store. Both of those projects are based around words, but have much grander goals. For those interested in a little info about this site: it's a side project that I developed while working on Describing Words and Related Words.
